Why the Change to Hypnotherapy?

Sharon’s earlier work had been with Strong Memorial Hospital, working in crisis intervention; inpatient with mentally ill and chemically addicted (MICA) clients; and at Strong’s community-based, outpatient mental health facility, working with a severely and persistently mentally ill population (SPMI) – individuals faced with some of life’s most difficult challenges.   With her skilled and positive, client-centered approach, Sharon’s clients have always enjoyed solid improvement in their overall sense of well-being, and steady progress toward their goals.

“… It wasn’t until I took an introductory course in hypnosis that I realized I’d been using some of these methods already.  When I started more purposefully applying just a few of the hypnotherapy techniques, my clients began to experience rapid progress in areas they’d struggled with for years!  It was remarkable!  After that, there was no turning back!”

Sharon went on to intensive study at the internationally-acclaimed Hypnotherapy Academy of America in Santa Fe, New Mexico, where she excelled, earning full certification in clinical hypnotherapy in 2009.  She continued with advanced study and certification in Accelerated Healing and Pain Management, (CMS – Certified Medical Support) as well as certification as an NLP Practitioner.

In 2009, Sharon was invited to fill a coveted position in the hypnotherapy offices of Dr. Robert Sapien, a veteran instructor at the Academy, President of the International Board of Hypnotherapists, and Director of Emergency Pediatric Medicine at the University of New Mexico Hospital, in Albuquerque, where she enjoyed a successful practice for the next six years.

Sharon returned home in 2015, and is excited to bring to you the very best in both traditional and innovative techniques and processes, including:  various regression models, inner conflict resolution (parts), natal and past-life regression, emotional clearing techniques, Psych-K, Medical Support including Accelerated Healing and Pain Management, NLP and Ericksonian methods, guided imagery, and mindfulness-based techniques.
